Sony drops PS2 price to $99
Posted by admin on March 31st, 2009 No comments
No joke... it's under a hundy.
This is the big announcement we’ve been waiting for? As of tomorrow, April 1st, Sony will drop the price of its legacy console from $129.99 to $99 in North America and Europe. This is good news for recession-laden gamers looking to get their hands on a console that plays DVDs and has a library of almost 1,900 games with more still on the way for the 10 year-old machine.
In what can be construed as a kind of cruel joke/April Fool’s prank, the only region not receiving a price cut is the U.K., in which Sony has “no plans to cut the price of the PS2â€. Oh well… at least they still have the only house in the world that has a giant penis painted on the roof.

Hotelicopter grounded…nothing but a hoax

Too bad so sad...Hotelicopter is nothing but a viral marketing campaign
Well it sure sounded cool! Too bad it’s not real. The Hotelicopter has been outed as a fake! Apparently the 18 room flying 5 star hotel complete with spa treatments, yoga classes, gaming and a tea garden was just a viral advertising campaign for the “stay-at-the-airport” hotel company Yotel. Good job guys, you pulled a fast one! Now if only someone could come up with a real Hotelicopter.

Hours before it’s set to become active, IT experts have discovered a new way to detect Conficker on a networked computer.“What we’ve found is pretty cool: Conficker actually changes what Windows looks like on the network, and this change can be detected remotely, anonymously, and very, very quickly. Action games may improve your eyesight

Action games: good for your balls
If you’re sick of everyone saying that games are bad for you, then there is finally good news. A group of New York researchers have found that playing action games can improve your CSF (contrast sensitivity function) and improve your ability to detect subtle grayscale differences.
While this same group of researchers proved that peripheral vision and visual acuity were improved while playing games, they also found that CSF levels improved more when playing games like Call Of Duty or Unreal Tournament as opposed to The Sims. The results last for months after playing games and also significant is the fact that there has been no known way to improve your CSF without glasses or surgery before now.
So go get Granny and plug her into the latest shooter… she’ll thank you for it!
