Disposable Barbeques
Posted by Mike Yawney on June 26th, 2009 No comments
I’m not sure if this is brilliant, or just plain ol’ ridiculous. But like it or not, the age of disposable barbeques has arrived.EZ Grill is basically a foil pan on a stand with a grill grate filled with instant charcoal. Light her up and you can cook for up to one and a half hours. Meat, vegetables, the grill will cook it all! When you’re done just toss it out! Or recycle it, as all materials used in EZ Grill are supposedly recyclable.

He Only Hits Her When Nobody's Looking

Now this is clever advertising. Amnesty International has developed an interactive bus shelter shedding light on domestic abuse.
The billboard has a built-in camera. When you look at the ad you see a happy smiling couple. When you look away the image changes, showing a man hitting a woman. The caption “It Happens When No One is Watching”. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.
The ad has only been installed in one location, Hamburg Germany. Too bad as this could bring more attention to this serious problem.

Chevy Volts Now On The Road
Posted by Mike Yawney on June 26th, 2009 No comments
If you live in or around Warren Michigan you might have seen one of Chevy’s highly touted Volts out and about. Yes Chevy has released a number of pre-production models to be tested out on the pavement.
The pre-production models apparently have all the bells and whistles the final version will have. The idea behind them is simply to give Chevrolet a final few weeks to test out the vehicle and tweak anything it deems necessary. 80 pre-production vehicles are expected to be on the road by October.

Red Hot Chilli Pepper Grenades

Deadly at any range
India has turned to the ultimate weapon in urban pacification: the bhut jolokia chilli. They will soon start mixing powders from the world’s hottest chilli into small hand grenades to be used in riot control and insurgency operations in the country’s northeast region.
The bhut jolokia, which measures 1,000,000 heat units on the Scoville scale, makes it a thousand times more powerful than anything you might have laying around the kitchen. That also makes it hard to fight the cops when you’re breathing in the stuff.
Indian scientists are also looking to coat the fencing around army barracks with chilli powder in order to deter animals from wandering in. Unless they like Frank’s Red Hot Sauce, it should probably work.

Porn Finally Makes Its Way Onto iTunes
Posted by Sean Taylor on June 25th, 2009 No comments
Apple has been very strict at keeping their Apps under wraps when it comes to adult content. Well, ever since the 3.0 iPhone software update that allows for ‘age-gating’, which allows you access if you say you’re old enough, that squeaky-clean era has gone the way of the Dodo. Welcome to the new world of smut and depravity on the iTunes App Store.

Have you had any problems with your battery life after upgrading to 3.0? If you haven’t, consider your self lucky. Plenty of iPhone users are complaining their battery life has dropped dramatically after the update, some saying their power is dropping by 20% an hour even when they’re not using their phone!
Apple says it is looking into the complaints but has yet to release an official comment.
