• Add Some Color To Your iPhone 3GS

It sure was nice for Apple to give you the option of black or white when purchasing the iPhone 3GS, but what about all the other colors that were rumored? Well if Apple isn’t going to make them available someone else will…and has.

Colorware is now giving you the option to upgrade your phone with a splash of color. With tons of color choices to choose from you can truly customize your iPhone to make it look the way want. But be warned, it isn’t cheap. You’re looking at paying $150 for the back, $20 for the bezel frame, and $20 for the front button. If you want your SIM card holder a different color, tack on another $15. Oh and earbuds are also $15. Hey, no one said being stylish is cheap.

Unfortunately you have to mail in your iPhone to Colorware, a service only available to residents of the U.S. The company isn’t selling iPhones that are already painted for you just yet.

Sony is spilling the beans! The company is releasing a bit more info on the upcoming motion controller it recently showed off at E3.

Developers have now been told each device will include rumble motors for force feedback, and four of the wands can be tracked simultaneously by the PlayStation Eye camera. Face tracking and head tracking will be available, and players may be able to use the motion controller in conjunction with a regular Dualshock 3 controller.

Sony is still hinting at a spring 2010 release. The name and final look of the motion controllers have not been released yet.

  • Amazon Throwing Around The PS3 Love All Day

Posted by Sean Taylor on June 22nd, 2009 View Comments

cod411You’ve got a little time left to nab some great deals if you’re a PS3 owner over at Amazon.com. If you don’t already have it, Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will run you $28.98 (42% off) if you pick it up today. They are also running timed events for Xmen Origins: Wolverine Uncaged, Tom Clancy’s HAWX, Guitar Hero: Metallica, possibly Rachet And Clank Future: Tools Of Destruction and the last cryptically teased as ‘Step into the ring with the Eighth Wonder Of The World’. Somehow, we don’t think it’s figure skating.

While we wish that some of these were a little more, how should we say, current, any new PS3 owners would be silly to not get their hands on a copy of Modern Warfare for only 28 bucks at the gate. Deal!

The news comes as a bit of a surprise. The lineups at many Apple stores weren’t nearly as long as they were when the iPhone 3G launched last year. Must have been all those pre-orders!

  • Almost 700,000 Palm Pre Apps Downloaded So Far

While it’s a far cry from Apple’s 1 billion, the Palm Pre seems to be doing fairly well when it comes to downloaded apps. Medialets has determined 666, 511 apps have been downloaded as of June 17th. Not bad considering there were only a few apps available in its first week of launch. It will be interesting to see if the numbers start trailing off, or if they will continue to rise as more people get their hands on the Pre.

  • How Do You Get $134B Into One Suitcase?

money-train-2That’s exactly what Italian authorities asked of two detained Japanese men arrested on a train from Italy to Switzerland who were caught with $134 Billion in undeclared US Treasury Bills. Maybe what they should have asked is, ‘So are you married? You know, I’ve got a daughter about your age…’ But this plot goes a bit deeper than that….
