It appears Microsoft doesnt like the fact that Sony is gloating over it’s recent introduction of the cheaper, sexier PS3 Slim. As predicted, Microsoft has announced it will drop the price of it’s high end Xbox360 Elite by $100 in the U.S. and $71 in the UK starting Friday. That means an Xbox 360 Elite will only set you back $299 in the States and 199.99 pounds in Britain.

Microsoft has apologized via Twitter for changing the race of one of the models in it’s ad campaign for business productivity software on its website.

Angry tweets and comments flooded the web yesterday after someone realized the company swapped out a black man, for a white one. In the ad seen above (seen in the U.S.) 3 business people are sitting around a boardroom table, one white, one asian, and one black. Turns out Microsoft swapped out the black guy for a white guy in the Polish version of the ad.

Jealous of your co-workers who call in each morning only to to say they can’t come in to work because their child is sick? Now you can be one of them, or at least fake it with the Office Kid Kit.

Each kit comes complete with an impossibly cute picture of your “child”, a hand drawn picture to put up at your desk showing your family, and a metal lunchbox full of excuses for when you need to leave work early.

The full kit will cost you $20.

When we first caught wind Epic Games, the studio behind Gears of War, was creating an Xbox Live Arcade title, we went wild! Initially we thought for sure it would be along the same lines as Gears of War. To our surprise, the company announced at E3 it was working on a side scrolling action/adventure title. We were pumped! Now after months of waiting, Epic has unleashed Shadow Complex on Xbox Live. Did Epic deliver? You betcha baby!

  • Duracell Enters Energy Drink Market

Posted by Mike Yawney on August 24th, 2009 No comments

duracell_drinkRed Bull, Monster, Amp, Red Rain. Yes the market is saturated with energy drinks. Why not add one more to the mix? Duracell now has it’s own energy drink.

The company known for it’s copper top batteries didn’t give it a fancy name. It’s just called Duracell energy drink. We’re pretty sure the company figured out their packaging is recognition enough.

While news of a Duracell energy drink may be news to us here in North America, truth be known it’s been for sale on the Czech market for more than a year now. In fact it’s now available in the Czech republic, Slovakia and Poland.

Has anyone tasted the drink on this side of the pond? How does it taste? Let us know!

The number seems high, almost unbelievable! Jeffrey Roseman, executive vice president of real- estate broker Newmark Knight Frank Retail in New York says Apple’s New York flagship store brought in nearly $350 million in the past year. In fact The 10,000 square foot store is believed to be the highest grossing Fifth Avenue store ever!

Apple’s “Glass Cube” opened back in 2006 and employs 500 employees. It also happens to be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No wonder millions of tourists make the pilgrimage there each year.

Hmmm, wonder if Microsoft’s new retail outlets will fair as well?

We love getting stuff in the mail! That’s because it’s usually some sort of tech toy or gadget. Every day is like Christmas over at the Review Crew office!

Now usually when you get a box like this you know something good is inside. A computer, maybe a LED TV. Well this parcel wasn’t for us, rather for an HP customer over in Sydney Australia, but wait until you see what was inside!
