Yoichi Wada predicts new Nintendo console in 2011

Nintendo has been shy when it comes to talking about a successor to the Wii. No one from the company is willing to address rumors or discuss the possibility of a new console. Well it appears the head of Square Enix didn’t get the memo.

Yoichi Wada spouted off to the Financial Times that 2011 is the year when all three major consoles will start looking the same. We’re not talking physical appearance here, but features. Wada says that is the year he believes Nintendo will release a new HD version of the Wii, with a new motion controller. He says the new console should have all the capabilities of the Xbox 360 and the PS3.

darkest_of_days8Monkey Labs isn’t exactly a household name. The independent game developer only has one game under it’s belt so far, and it’s for the iPhone.
