If you’re still considering whether to get that Nintendo DSi you’ve been eyeing, put the breaks on and wait a sec. A report from the Nikkei news service is saying that, before the end of this year (in Japan), the DSi is about to get a touch bigger with a 4” screen. That’s three-quarters of an inch larger than the current model.

The report says the new, beefier DSi will likely cost the same. While the Japanese may be seeing these before the holidays, the rest of the world will likely have to sit tight for a while. No official announcement of the updated device has happened and Nintendo of America is currently mum.

forza_31When it comes to realistic racing games one title always seems to come to mind. Gran Turismo. At one point Polyphony Digital seemed to have cornered the market when it came to racing simulators. Very few developers have been able to achieve the same fan base Gran Turismo has. Then along came Microsoft and the Forza franchise. Microsoft clearly proved there was room for another great racing sim in the market, as Forza Motorsport 2 kicked some serious ass on the Xbox 360. But can Microsoft top it’s sophomore entry into the racing franchise with a third installment? You bet it can!

borderlands_1Borderlands shares a few traits with last year’s Fallout 3… it’s a shooter with RPG elements, it takes place in a desert wasteland, and yes… there’s also a Vault. But where Fallout tried to tell an epic, open-ended story, Borderlands is happy enough to give you a wastelander experience that leans on its cel-shaded visuals and intricate weapons options without the ‘do I or don’t I’ moral choices. As long as you’ve got an itchy trigger finger, Borderlands shouldn’t disappoint.

Airplanes and jets may be a form of “car pooling”, but they are still considered a major contributor to global warming. Just think of all the carbon they spew into the air. In fact, aircraft are the most fuel inefficient methods of transportation. Southwest Airlines hopes to change that with the introduction of the world’s very first “eco-friendly” jet.

By changing just a few materials on-board, the company was able to lighten the load, resulting in some major fuel savings. Here’s what the company did:
