98-Inch Ceiling Screen Inspires Award, Bedsores, Chronic Neck Pain

When Patti Deni installed this 98-inch ceiling-mounted screen in her son’s bedroom as a surprise, she probably wondered if she’d be up for Mom Of The Year. It turns out that Electronic House magazine thought that she should be nom’d for a Home Of The Year Award as well.

This 300-pound projector/mirror setup lies flush with the ceiling, which needed to be reframed and reinforced to hold the weight. No word on whether Patti’s little boy (‘cause he’s gotta be a boy, right?) loves his mommy… or really loves his mommy after all that trouble. One thing that could get a bit awkward? Inviting your friends over and everybody’s gotta cram onto that tiny little bed.
