If you were ever a fan of the old-school titles that populated the Atari 2600 back in the day, then you will love what Atari is doing for you lately.

Besides hawking their latest products such as Ghostbusters on the PSP, Atari is going back to the 80’s with a recent full site relaunch. They’ve introduced channels to bring you up to speed with their current stuff, but for those of us who wax nostalgic about consoles that only had one joystick and one red button, the Atari Arcade is our preferred destination. Play retro titles like Yar’s Revenge, Asteroids, Lunar Lander and Battlezone from your web browser… and it’s all as cheap as free!

It’s good to see Atari making a comeback after the last couple of years, and going back to the honeypot from whence they came is another good indication that Atari is rediscovering its own brand and what makes it appealing to gamers.
