Colour Changing Wallpaper Just around the Corner?

Okay, so it may not be “just” around the corner, but it’s coming! Philips is focusing a lot of attention and research on colour changing e-paper. The “chameleon” technology could be used to wrap portable devices, allowing you to change their colour on the fly. Sounds pretty cool, but the company wants to take the technology it beyond that. Think bigger. Like in your home!

Imagine getting bored of your wallpaper, hitting a button and changing the pattern. Yup, that’s what Philips is working on. Sounds pretty ambitious and sure it would be expensive, but think about how awesome that would be!
