Colour Kindle to Debut in 2010?

The company behind the E Ink screen technology on Amazon and Sony’s eBook readers wants to let you in on a little secret. Colour E ink screens are on the way! Prime View International says we can expect to see a wide variety of new displays in 2010 including colour, flexible, and touchscreen variations. Even better, the company has confirmed refresh rates have been improved to allow for animation.

If you’ve played around with Sony’s eBook reader you know that having a touchscreen can cause for some nasty reflection. PVI says it will be using touch sensors behind the screen rather than placing then on top to reduce surface glare.

If you haven’t bought a Kindle or Sony eReader yet, you might want to think of holding off.
