Father’s Day is just around the corner. Have you found the perfect gift for dad yet? Why not show him just how much you care with a geeky gadget! There are plenty of high tech gifts out there for him! The review Crew has scoured high and low for some of the best gifts for dad. Here are a few of our favorites.

Digital cameras make great gifts. That is until you drop them and they break. Olympus’ Tough-8000 has the word “tough” in its name for a reason. It can withstand some serious punishment.

Not only can this camera be dropped from about 7 feet and still work, it can go under water down to depths of 33 feet without any special casing. It can withstand temperatures down to 14°F/-10°C, and is crush proof, able to handle 220 pounds worth of weight. Intense.

The durability may be impressive but the specs aren’t bad either. This 12 megapixel camera has a 3.6x optical and 5x digital zoom, 2.7″ LCD display, dual image stabilization and 24 shooting modes. Full specs can be found here.

The Olympus Tough-8000 will cost you around $299, but your dad will thank you for it.

    Dell Adamo Laptop

Dads like computers, as long as their not sissy looking! Well rest assured there’s nothing sissy about Dell’s Adamo. The machined aluminum chassis makes this a man’s notebook. It looks tough and rugged, yet it’s streamlined design screams style.

Dell offers two different versions, one with a 1.2GHz processor and 2GBs of memory, the other has a 1.4 GHz processor with 4GBs of memory. Both come with a 128GB solid state hard drive to make sure your data stays safe, even if you drop the notebook.

The Adamo isn’t cheap by any means. You’ll spend between $1999 and $2699 to get one for your pop. But your dad’s worth it…isn’t he?

    samsung-bd-p4600Samsung BD-P4600 Blu-ray Player

Oh baby! It’s about time someone has designed a blu-ray player worth showing off. Samsung has taken a different approach to the traditional player, creating one that is designed specifically to be mounted on the wall.

This is one beautiful, er we mean handsome, machine. The piano black body has dark red tones and crystal clear edges. It’s also incredibly thin at only 42 millimeters. It is BD Live ready and has 1GB worth of built-in memory. Connect it to your PC and you’ll be able to wirelessly stream some video files, mp3′s and pictures directly to your TV. Sweet! Like most blu-ray players, this 1080p machine supports Blu-ray discs,  DVDs and Cds. Worth every penny of it’s $500 price tag! Okay the price is a bit steep, but it sure is sweet looking.

    swiss_army_knifeThe Ultimate Swiss Army Knife

Make sure dad is prepared for anything! This is the world’s largest, most complete, Swiss Army Knife. In fact it holds the Guinness World Record for “The Most Multifunctional Penknife.” We’re talking 87 precision-engineered tools spanning 112 functions.

Here’s a quick breakdown on what you”ll be getting. It has seven blades, three types of pliers, three golf tools (club face cleaner, shoe spike wrench, and divot repair tool), 25 flat- and Phillips-head screwdrivers and bits, saws, wrenches, and more. It also has a bicycle chain rivet setter, signal whistle, 12/20-gauge shotgun choke tube tool, combination fish scaler, hook disgorger, and line guide tool, cigar-cutting scissors, laser pointer, tire-tread gauge, toothpick, tweezers, and key ring. All these tools for a mere $1400. Grab yours at Hammacher Schlemmer.

samsung_ledtv46″ Samsung Series 7 LED TV

I admit,I often refer to some gadgets as sexy. This one is no exception. In fact it’s damn sexy! Samsung’s latest LED TV is so thin you’d think it’s bulimic. We’re talking 29mm thick here folks. That’s It! The bezel is stunning, with black and red tones and clear edges. This is a real head turner.

Now that I’ve rambled on about the looks, let’s get down to business….the specs. This 1080p set has a contrast ratio of nealry 3,000,000 to 1. Samsung calls it mega contrast. It also features Motion Plus 120hz technology that reduces blur on fast moving images. Hook this baby up to the internet and you can view news headlines, even check the forecast right from your couch.  Oh, and did I mention there are 4 hdmi ports! You can’t go wrong with this set.

Personally I have been testing this TV out in my house for the past few weeks and I can honestly say, I’m in love! I`m not overly happy with the high price, more than $3000, but if your dad is a trend setter, he`ll want this TV!
