The “Apple suicide” story continues to evolve. The latest? Foxconn has now agreed to pay the family of Sun Danyong even more money than previously promised.

A Foxconn official in Taipei said Tuesday the company would pay Sun’s parents $52,600, plus $4,385 every year as long as either of them remains alive. The official spoke under condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to deal with the press.

A quick refresh, Danyong allegedly jumped to his death from his 12th storie balcony after misplacing one of 16 iPhone prototypes. Some say he was bullied by Foxconn security staff, while Foxconn says a senior official merely grabbed him by the shoulder once.

Interesting to see how the settlement states they would get $4,385 every year as long as the either parent is alive. Hmmm, wouldn’t that be suspicious if “jumped” to their death from their balcony.
