Girl’s Lip Bitten Off by Dog While Playing Nintendogs

Nintendog’s is probably one of the most child safe games available on the Nintendo DS. Just don’t play it in front of a real dog.

9 year-old Megan Walker was dragged off the couch by a Bull Mastiff while playing the game at a friend’s house. Her virtual dog let out a bark which apparently sent the real life dog named Saracen into a frenzy. The animal dragged the girl from the couch and bit her face several times before biting off her upper lip.

Just what led to the attack is anyone’s guess. It’s believed Megan may have kicked the dog which prompted the attack.

Doctors managed to re-attach Megan’s lip after two hours of surgery. Meanwhile Saracen has been put down.

Nintendo has not offered up a comment on the story.
