Black Friday’s nearing an end. Did you get a sweet deal? Escape a trampling? Survive dinner with the family?

If you answered yes to one of the above, then you deserve to celebrate with a handful of cheap and/or free iPhone apps. ‘Tis the season for enabling consumerism and app developers (the bigs and the smalls) have no problem getting in the spirit of things. Courtesy of Touch Arcade, there’s no need to hunt down the best deal and skin it yourself. Their list of cheap iPhone games is comprehensive and growing.

While there’s nothing wrong with starting with the free ones and working your way through the rest allow me to suggest a few winners for you:

Super KO Boxing 2: An intense, fun and good looking boxing game that becomes a good challenge as you make your way to the title belt. Full of quirk with shades (the good kind) of Punch Out!

Mini-Squadron: A high-flying game that lets you get into classic dog fighting combat reminiscent of one of my favourite games for the Intellivision: BiPlanes. Of course, this version offers much more than two-person machine gunning. Unlock up to 56 planes, dog fight with multiple opponents and even play multiplayer over Wi-Fi. This game, I dig.

Zombie Attack!: A tasty 3-D tower defense game that brings the blood and heavy weapons. I even played the lite version of this game for hours. You just can’t go wrong with zombies. Well, you can… if you don’t follow the double tap rule.

Zombie Attack! Second Wave: I may have mentioned how wicked the first version was… so imagine I just said the same thing for the sequel. This time around, there’s more zombies, levels and weapons. For a total of three bucks between the two games, it’s well worth your coin.
