Google has announced yet another tool to make its search engine more user friendly. Now you won’t even have to finish typing your search terms…at least not if you use what Google calls Instant.

Now when you start typing a search term Google auto completes your entry, predicting and displaying what is being looked for before the user has finished typing. For example if you type in Flow, Google will suggest flowers, type in The Review and Google will suggest The Review Crew.

There are also a few shortcuts. Pressing the tab button when a suggestion is made will automatically accept that suggestion. The up and down arrows let you navigate the suggestions and the right arrow key will activate the I’m Feeling Lucky search.

Google is optimistic the new Instant feature will save users anywhere from 3 to 5 seconds per search. If users don’t like the feature they can also opt out of Instant if they prefer.
