• Grow Your Own With Grass Lamp

This new lamp design seems inspired by the Eye of Sauron, Oakley, and 4:20. Curvaceous and modern and pretty dang big, this fancy planter helps to bring a bit of permanent greenery into your home–something that should appeal to those socked in by winter or who live in a condo without a garden or yard to call their own.

It may also appeal to those who are considering a stylish and unobtrusive grow-op.

Designed by Marko Vuckovic, the lamp lights up a room while also watering and “sunning” your grass of choice. Although it’s rather large, it’s made of light-weight plastic to be easily mounted on wall or sit on a pedestal. Details on how it works follow the break.

The “eye” of the lamp encloses the lighting, a spot for soil and grass, and a refillable water vessel on the side–all within the smooth oval shape. Sure, it’s essentially a fancy planter, but it’s the fancy part that’s most exciting. As with all cool things like this, it’s just a concept now so purchase options are zero. In the meantime, puzzle over how you might mow this lawn.
