Has the Head of LulzSec Been Arrested?Posted by Mike Yawney on July 27th, 2011 View Comments
Could this be the end of LulzSec? Police in the UK are reporting they have a 17 year-old in custody and are questioning him in relation to DDoS attacks against a number of international business and intelligence agencies.
LulzSec supporters claim Topiary, the alleged head behind hacking group LulzSec, has gone underground but hasn’t been arrested. However a journalist for the Guardian did notice Topiary deleted all of his Twitter posts leaving only one; the one you see posted at the top of this article.
Take a look at the police news release below:
A residential address in Lincolnshire is also being searched. A 17-year-old male is being interviewed under caution in connection with the inquiry. He has not been arrested.
Today’s operation is linked to PCeU’s ongoing investigation into network intrusions and Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks against a number of international business and intelligence agencies by what is believed to be the same hacking group.
Even if Topiary is in custody something tells us we haven’t seen the last of LulzSec.
