"I Miss the Internet"

There’s a moment in Left 4 Dead when, after successfully surviving wave after wave of unnaturally fast zombies, our heroes rest in a safe room before pushing forward to the airstrip. A quick look around and you’ll see the best piece of apocalyptic graffiti:

“I miss the Internet.”

It’s probably true. With a hoards of undead at my door, I would certainly yearn for my daily lolcat. And that seems to have got the folks at Cracked thinking. So they opened up the proverbial airwaves to a Photoshop contest of the best illustrations of a world without the Internet.

The top twenty are up for viewing now. From classic keyboard kitty theatre to massive lineups for pornography, the ‘netless world is a frightening and sad place to live. And when you get to number one, well… I won’t spoil the surprise.
