Katamari Playground to Roll Out in UK

Those lucky kids in Nottingham City. Japanese video game creator Keita Takahashi, developer of Katamari Damacy and Noby Noby Boy, is designing a playground for the UK city. Takahashi, along with NCC Landscape Architects, will consult local kiddies and old folks alike to expand his ideas for the playground. Takahashi’s design will reside in Woodthorpe Grange Park, hopefully incorporating the park’s naturally rolling hills.

Takahashi has previously indicated an interest in designing playgrounds. There is no firm deadline yet and no design concepts have been revealed.

Here’s to hoping it includes the wonderment and WTF-factor we all saw in the Katamari Damacy intro videos. Red pandas, anyone?
