Kodu, Microsoft’s answer to Little Big Planet’s level creator, launched today on your Xbox 360 for a mere $5.

We got to play with Kodu at CES back in January and while its interface is basic (no keyboard needed, everything is visually represented), it’s actually quite a robust level editor with different single and multiplayer modes added in plus the ability to program your own A.I.

It is mostly aimed at youngsters, but anyone with a little creative flair will get a kick out of making their own games. It may not look as cool or as polished as Little Big Planet, but, then again, it’ll only cost you a fiver to start building your own world and filling it with people you’d like to run over.
