Mass Effect 2 Will Not Appear on the PS3

Sorry Playstation 3 owners, you will not be playing BioWare’s epic Mass Effect 2 on your shiny black, Blu-ray capable consoles anytime soon. Although rumours were swirling around the net that code in the Unreal Engine contained information relating to the PS3, BioWare has stepped up to the plate to clear up any confusion.

BioWare’s Chris Priestly posted a comment on the forums to address the issue. “The Unreal Engine is cross platform, hence the PS3 code,” he wrote. “This was brought up back in Mass Effect 1 days as well.”

If that’s not enough, his last comment seals the deal. “Mass Effect is for the PC and Xbox 360.”
