• Microsoft Kinect Only Supports 2 Active Players

We got a chance to play with Microsoft’s Kinect at E3 this year and walked away fairly impressed. It wasn’t perfect but with a few months until launch we were told tweaks can be expected. At the time we were told by Microsoft the dual camera system is able to track up to 6 players at once on the screen. However we are now learning Kinect will only be able to track two ‘active players’ at once.

Retailer Play has released specs for Microsoft’s upcoming device on its website which states only two players can actually play at once which seems a bit surprising. Even the Wii lets up to four players play at the same time.

Are these the final specs or is Play jumping the gun? Hopefully Microsoft can confirm shortly.
