Microsoft is apologizing to an American gamer after it suspended his account over the name of his home town. 26 year-old Josh Moore listed his home town as Fort Gay, West Virginia. Unfortunately Microsoft didn’t believe him and suspended his account saying he violated the gaming service’s code of conduct.

“At first I thought, ‘Wow, somebody’s thinking I live in the gayest town in West Virginia or something.’ I was mad. … It makes me feel like they hate gay people,” Moore told AP. “I’m not even gay, and it makes me feel like they were discriminating.”

Xbox Live chief enforcement officer Stephen Toulouse admits mistakes are rare but in this case an error was made. Microsoft has revoked the suspension is now apologizing to all 800 the residents of Fort Gay .
