First person shooter fans are anxiously waiting for November 10th, the day Modern Warfare 2 hits store shelves. But if you live in the UK, you may already have a retail copy. At least two retailers have shipped the game out to customers early, breaking the intended street date by a full 5 days.

LoveFilm and The Hut have both admitted to sending out copies of the highly anticipated game to their UK customers.  The Hut which distributes games for LoveFilm told Gamesindustry “We are dedicated to getting products to customers on release. We use Royal Mail as our preferred courier and were advised to dispatch on Thursday for delivery on Tuesday due to the impending strike action. This was called off on Thursday evening and we have contacted Royal Mail to hold the product until Tuesday.”

Well they do have a point. I would be pissed too if a copy of a game I purchased didn’t arrive on time because of a mail strike.
