Need To Charge 80 USB-enabled Gadgets?

Clearly, the girl in the photo is also wondering what you would do with an 80 port USB hub.

At first glimpse, it seems like maybe I could chain all my 1 GB USB keys I routinely receive at trade shows. I could create a 20 GB drive for temporary backup or an external hard drive for my netbook. Alas, that is not the case.

These ports are meant for charging only. The hub plugs into an AC socket and not a computer. So for $165, you can charge up to 80 gadgets.

I guess I’ll have to find another use for my USB keys.
