Nintendo Gives Mature Games the Black Box Treatment

Nintendo of Japan has come up with a new way to let parents know if a game is considered Mature. In the near future all games rated 15+ (CERO C in Japan) being released on the console will have a black box, rather than the white boxes we’ve become familiar with.

Nintendo’s upcoming Japanese title Zangeki no Reginleiv will be the first game to sport the snazzy new packaging. There is also word Biohazard: The Darkside Chronicles will be the first third party title with the black box.

It’s an interesting move by the kid friendly company. Makes you wonder if other companies will soon follow suit.
