Nintendo didn’t believe people would be interested in high definition gaming,  so is there really any surprise the Big N has no faith in 3D gaming either? Nintendo’s President Satoru Iwata told Japanese media while Nintendo is working on new devices, he isn’t sold on 3D gaming.

“I question whether those features would be enough to get people to buy new machines,”  says Iwata. “I have doubts whether people will be wearing glasses to play games at home. How is that going to look to other people?”

Iwata also sites health concerns as another reason 3D gaming may not take off. While 3D movies only last a couple of hours, gamers often play for extended periods of time.

Nintendo’s president also took time to let everyone know he was completely unimpressed with Apple’s iPad, calling it “a bigger iPod Touch”.
