Nintendo’s Next Console Will Drop Jaws

We all know that it’s coming. Nintendo is surely working on a follow-up to the successful Wii console even if it hasn’t given any details. But that hasn’t stopped Nintendo game designer (and co-creator of Metroid) Yoshio Sakamoto from saying a few choice words about the project.

“At Nintendo we always have the obligation to surprise users with a new game console,” Sakamoto told website 3D Juegos in a recent interview. “We have never done what others have. We prefer to create something new that catches attention, and I think this will continue this time as well. Surely the new Nintendo machine will leave you all with your mouth open.”

So what surprise does Nintendo have up its sleeve? Who knows! Will Nintendo finally go HD? Will it give online gaming a chance? Will the new Wii be only 3D? Chances are we won’t find out for a long time.
