Porn Finally Makes Its Way Onto iTunes

Apple has been very strict at keeping their Apps under wraps when it comes to adult content. Well, ever since the 3.0 iPhone software update that allows for ‘age-gating’, which allows you access if you say you’re old enough, that squeaky-clean era has gone the way of the Dodo. Welcome to the new world of smut and depravity on the iTunes App Store.

The first product to take advantage of age restrictions for applications is Hottest Girls, a modest $2 app that includes “2200+ images of topless, sexy babes and nude models”. You can choose from a small list of categories like blonde, asian, and ‘swimsuit’, and the pictures featured in the app are fairly tame and are definitely on the softcore side compared to what you could find even on Google. Whether this is just an experiment to test the waters or not remains to be seen.

It’s a limited app (no slideshow feature, menu navigation is horrible) that is barely risqué enough to step over the line into adult content. But now that they’ve cleared that hurdle, the Apple Store should soon be full of similar, hopefully better, applications.
