• Reading Stand That Attaches To Bike Offers Free Injuries

Quick story: I dislocated my elbow cycling because I lost focus for one second. One moment I was upright and next my left arm was in agony. So obviously, I’m curious why someone would want to buy the Performance Bike Caddy. Wouldn’t you want all your attention on what’s happening in front of you?

The steel stand offers a place for reading material, or even an Apple iPad (or whatever is announced tomorrow). It’s not unlike the stands you find at the gym on stationary bikes.

While I think the caddy is meant for training on rollers or stationary bikes, the item description reads “Trying to find time to catch up on your reading and training? Do both at one time with the Performance Book Caddy! ”

However, if you want to give the caddy a spin, it’s only $14.00. But you’ll have to wait to find out if man can cycle and read at the same time–it’s sold out.

It would be for training – you put your road bike on a trainer and this on the front. I guess in the next printing of its instructions it will need to include that I-can’t-believe-someone-actually-thought-that-was-a-smart-idea caveat, “Do not use this product for your bike unless you are using it for stationary training.”
