• Rejoice Mac Owners! For Now You Can Game Like The Rest Of Us

Macs are rock solid machines. It’s rare to meet anyone who’s had a bad experience with a Mac. The downside to owning a Mac is that they are useless for gaming. Sure, you can dual boot Windows but that is inelegant… and Mac users know elegance.

However, if you like the games Valve has produced (and who doesn’t?) you’ll be glad to hear that Steam, Valve’s online distribution network, and many Valve games will soon be available for Apple owners.

Valve had been releasing teaser pictures last week hinting at a possible Apple release for its games. Today it was made official that you’ll be able to kill zombies, hunt head crabs, and escape from killer computers like the rest of us. Finally, you’ll be able to understand all my “The cake is a lie” references. Also, be warned the song at the end of Portal will stay stuck in your head forever. Look for Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, Portal, and the Half-Life series to be available in April.

But the good news doesn’t stop there. The very first game available for Macs will be Portal 2. And any new games that will be released for PC or Xbox 360 will show up for Macs on the same date as well. Here’s hoping Half-Life 3 comes sooner rather than later.
