blackberrytvIt’s only a rumour at this point, but it’s a juicy one. Apparently RIM is set to launch a new TV service for Blackberry owners to coincide with the launch of BlackBerry App World. The tidbit was posted on the blog newteevee.com.

    Here’s what they’re saying:

    • It will be a paid-for unlimited monthly subscription service.
    • Content will be downloaded through a Wi-Fi connection.
    • The service has managed to license content from multiple broadcast and cable networks.

Downloading programs via Wi-Fi is a good thing since it won’t clog up 3G networks. The programs can then sit on your device until you’re ready to watch them.

RIM is not commenting on the report stating they do not make remarks about products that have yet to launch. No surprise there! Let’s see if this rumour pans out.
