Just goes to show you how low scammers will go. Symantec has discovered emails circulating the web containing an attachment titled “Swine influenza frequently asked questions.pdf.”  Of course it’s not a PDF file, rather a malicious file known as InfoStealer (which as the name suggestions captures personal info off of your computer).

Here is a list of the top 10 headlines known to carry the file:

    1.       Swine flu in USA
    2.       Salma Hayek caught swine flu!
    3.       US swine flu statistics
    4.       Swine flu in Hollywood!
    5.       NY victims of swine flu
    6.       Swine flu worldwide!
    7.       Madonna caught swine flu!
    8.       First US swine flu victims!
    9.       Will swine flu attack USA?
    10.   US swine flu fears

As always, don’t open attachments from people you don’t know. Even better, don’t open attachments period, unless you know exactly what it is and who it’s from.
