Sirius XM to Launch SkyDock?

Both Sirius and XM have been fairly quiet in regards to hardware announcements since the big merger. That could change as rumors are flying the company is getting ready to launch a new dock, designed for use with the iPhone and iPod Touch.

They are calling it SkyDock, and it will turn turn your iPhone / iPod Touch into a satellite radio receiver. The nice part is it is expected to retail for under $100 USD. It will also feature a new power cord that uses your vehicle’s electrical wiring as a FM transmitter wire. Sweet!

The company also plans on announcing a new color screen XM radio receiver that uses the same new power cord and new XM signal repeater. Details expected next week! Stay tuned.
