Sony to unveil new PSP at E3?

The rumour mill is buzzing once again. Is Sony getting ready to release the PSP2? The folks over at 1Up.com seem to think so.

The gaming blog says it has talked to “sources directly involved with the new system” and got the following details:

• UMD gone
• options for either 8GB or 16GB of built-in flash memory
• Three rumored names include PSP Slide, PSP Flip, and PSP Go!
• Built-in camera
• D-pad
• analog nub
• face button configuration remains, but they now slide out from the bottom of the unit

The unit will supposedly be released this September in Japan. North Americans will have to wait until November.

Is it true or just a rumour? Guess we’ll have to wait until E3.
