• Spreadtweet Mimics Excel To Hide Your Twitter

In my past jobs, Microsoft Excel was used for every thing including documents, tables, and tracking lists. It was used for everything but accounting. And now you can add another non-accounting use to Excel–Twitter.

Okay, okay. It’s not that you can tweet directly from Excel but you can use Excel’s UI to hide your Twitter addiction at work. Spreadtweet accesses your Twitter feed and displays it like a spreadsheet.

For added verisimilitude, Spreadtweet comes in three flavours: Office OSX, Office 2003, and Office 2007.

I know this isn’t a true cheat as the IT folks can still see what you’re really up to. But for the boss who walks by quickly, it looks like you’re slaving away on some chart for next week’s marketing presentation.
