• Super Small USB Drive–Set It And Forget It

There have been times when my laptop has been sporting multiple USB flash drives and various other cords so that it resembles a sci-fi city scape. It can make the laptop a little less lap-friendly with finger-length drives poking out the sides. And have you ever caught a plugged in memory key while moving your laptop around? The damage… it will make you sad.

External hardrive maker LaCie knows my pain and has created one of the world’s smallest flash drives. When plugged in, the MosKeyto pokes out of your laptop by just six millimeters. That’s a pretty discrete 8GB of portable space.

The MosKeyto is just a tiny two centimeters long when you include its cover and USB bits. In addition to the space on the device itself, LaCie includes 4GB of online space on Wuala. Hard space is nice, but it’s all about the cloud, right?

Now, while the MosKeyto makes sense for laptops and keyboards, it is actually too small to be convenient in some situations. Any recessed USB port area (I’m thinking my Xbox where I’m often moving USB keys in and out) might be a little challenging for your fingers and a flash drive so tiny.

Still, this little drive makes sense to me. And $27.99 for the 8GB version makes it nicely accessible to the masses.
