• Welcome To School–Watch Out For Shells And Fireballs

Students returning to the Columbus College of Art and Design were greeted with an “interactive” Super Mario Bros. mural. Take a step back and you can see that there are some key parts missing–namely Mario and Luigi–which lets everyone take a turn as one of the red or green-hatted plumbers.

Would you be jumping up to get a mushroom or shooting out a fireball? Dieing against a spiked shell or about to crush a red koopa?

The mural took 12 students eight days to produce. It was made to advertise the college’s first student town hall of the season.

Massive murals on this particular wall aren’t new to the college. Students can propose a new mural every month to either just show off their art “skills” or advertise a cause or event.

If you had a wall like this, what game would you paint yourself into? I’m thinking a first person shooter with photos taken over your shoulder would be kinda wicked. Perhaps GoldenEye? (Yeah, I know, I’m predictable.)
