What happens when you pit a deadly viper up against an intelligent robotic vacuum? The robot goes for the head and wins, that’s what happens. Israel’s Yediot Acharonot newspaper is reporting a Roomba potentially saved the life of a small child, and cat, after it swept up a deadly viper, looking for a warm place to stay for the winter.

According to the article, the homeowner turned on the Roomba then left to run some errands. When she came back the Roomba’s light was flashing indicating something was wrong. Once she opened up the dust trap, she discovered the viper inside with a gaping hole in the head. The snake had died of its injuries.

Weird thing is, the homeowner was distraught by the fact the Roomba polished off the snake. Appears she is a snake lover and was disappointed the Roomba wasn’t designed for catch and release.
