Windows 7 To Be Available On A Thumb Drive?

As many of you are aware, Windows 7 is now available for pre-order today. While many users will expect to get their new OS on a DVD,  word is spreading Windows 7 may also be available in a new format this time around…on a thumb drive.

CNET is reporting Microsoft is considering offering its latest operating system on a thumb drive to make the transition easier for those with a netbook. Executives say they realize netbooks pose a challenge since they lack DVD drives. True you could take your netbook to an outlet to get it installed for you via external drive, but that isn’t exactly what we call convenient.

Apparently Microsoft hasn’t made any final decision on this. It’s still up in the air and open for debate.
