• Woman Sues Google After Getting Hit By Car

A Utah women is suing Google after the walking directions it supplied on Google Maps led her onto a traffic filled highway.

Lauren Rosenberg of Park City apparently used the service to find walking directions to get from one part of town to another. It led her onto a busy highway where she was hit by a vehicle. She now wants Google to cough up $100,000 as a result of the mishap.

Turns out Rosenberg may not have a leg to stand on. When you launch Google street directions you have a warning pop up on your screen warning you “Walking directions are in beta. Use caution – This route may be missing sidewalks or pedestrian paths.”

Is it just us, or are Americans just a little too lawsuit happy…
